About the Target AB Key is a specialist provider of maintenance services across London and the Southeast, bringing deep expertise across multiple service lines, including but not limited to access control, door entry systems, glazing, CCTV, alarms and automated gates. About the Buyer Astra specialises in partnering with and supporting growth of UK based industrial and service businesses. Many of these companies, like AB Key, have been built over decades and play a critical role in keeping buildings safe, compliant and operational. Astra’s approach is to support the growth of these businesses through investments and innovation, while preserving their identity and culture. About the Deal For many years, AB Key has supported estates, property managers and developers with the maintenance, repair and installation of key systems and security infrastructure. This partnership marks an important milestone in Astra’s strategy to build a diversified portfolio of profitable UK SMEs that provide essential services to the built environment. Under the new partnership, Astra will work closely with the founders, Rob Douglas and Jennifer Fuller, and the entire AB Key team to guide strategy, support customer relationships and help drive the next stage of growth.

The company specialises in everything from specialist equipment moves to full factory relocations and system installations, serving a diverse range of blue-chip clients across multiple sectors. Its dedicated, and unique, Medical Division has earned a strong reputation in medical equipment logistics, delivering tailored solutions to key industry players. Led by siblings, Jayson Flegg and Kiersten Cox, Flegg Projects has established itself as a trusted name in the industry, renowned for service excellence and technical expertise. The company has delivered consistent revenue growth and industry-leading margins, positioning it for future success. About the Buyer Wigan-based AIS is an international group of engineering solutions companies. Its subsidiaries – AIS Vanguard, AIS Eurelo, AIS Wind Energy and VIG Industrial Relocation – specialise in lifting, removing, relocating, installing and decommissioning industrial equipment and machinery, as well as providing CDM and project management services.
